North Atlantic Services (NAS), OBL and GBL Instructions for US Port Agents

Please always email a copy of the Pre-Advice Manifest together with the GBL's immediately after you have loaded your containers and make sure that your GBL includes the breakdown of the shipment into pieces, weight and cube.

If a pre-advice is not received from the origin port agent and ocean freight charges cannot be collected from the carrier, the origin port agent will be held responsible for unpaid ocean freight charges. For your convenience we have the following email addresses listed for OBL and GBL distribution. Please do this for both North Atlantic and any North Atlantic carriers that are shipping with Med Services.

OBL Corrections and Vessel Rollovers

Further reminder to above instructions; if there are any OBL corrections or you are notified of any vessel rollovers, please send corrected OBLs and pre-advices and rollover information to one of the numbers listed in the section above. This is very important to be able to stay on top of freight flow and help ensure RDDs are met and ITGBL carriers are protected with TQAP.
